HR Consulting Solutions, LLC is a national executive search firm that has been retained by River Valley AgCredit to conduct a search for a Senior Relationship Manager to work alongside their team in Murray, Kentucky.

POSITION SUMMARY

River Valley Ag Credit is seeking an experienced and highly relationship-focused Senior Relationship Manager to lead the development, management, and expansion of agricultural and commercial lending relationships throughout the Murray market and surrounding communities. This is a senior-level lending and business development opportunity designed for an established financial professional with strong market presence, proven portfolio management success, and the ability to cultivate long-term relationships with agricultural producers, agribusiness leaders, commercial clients, and community stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in agricultural lending, commercial banking, relationship management, or portfolio development, along with the leadership presence and strategic mindset necessary to immediately contribute at a high level. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to customers while helping River Valley Ag Credit continue growing its presence and impact within the agricultural and commercial sectors. This role is ideal for a seasoned lender or relationship manager who enjoys working directly with customers, understanding agricultural operations and business needs, developing new business opportunities, and serving as a visible leader within the local community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, manage, and expand a high-value portfolio of agricultural and commercial lending relationships
  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to agricultural producers, agribusiness owners, commercial customers, and rural landowners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, referral sources, business leaders, and community stakeholders throughout the region
  • Identify opportunities for new business development, portfolio growth, and expanded customer relationships
  • Structure, negotiate, and present complex lending solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Analyze financial statements, repayment ability, collateral, operational performance, and overall credit risk
  • Conduct on-site farm visits, business visits, and customer meetings to strengthen relationships and better understand operations
  • Maintain strong knowledge of agricultural markets, commodity trends, farm operations, rural economies, and commercial lending environments
  • Collaborate with internal credit and leadership teams to ensure sound underwriting, risk management, and portfolio administration
  • Represent River Valley Ag Credit professionally within the community through networking, industry involvement, and relationship-building activities
  • Assist in mentoring and supporting less experienced lenders and team members when appropriate
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable lending regulations, internal policies, and Association standards

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • Significant experience in agricultural lending, commercial banking, relationship management, portfolio management, or business development
  • Strong understanding of agricultural operations, agribusiness, and rural financial markets preferred
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and grow substantial customer portfolio
  • Established community and professional relationships within the region strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Knowledge of Farm Credit System operations and agricultural finance principles preferred
  • Leadership presence with the ability to work independently and strategically within a growing organization
