The team specializes in warehousing, transportation, and supply chain solutions, helping customers manage and move products efficiently across the country. Wagner is known for its hands-on approach, strong customer relationships, and commitment to accuracy and reliability in every shipment.

POSITION SUMMARY
Wagner Warehousing is seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join their team in Paducah. This is a full-time position offering consistent weekday hours, competitive pay, and a strong benefits package. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely operating equipment, pulling and preparing orders, scanning products, and loading trucks for delivery. This role is critical to keeping daily operations running smoothly and ensuring customers receive their products accurately and on time. It is not a sit-down forklift-only role. Employees are frequently on and off equipment and involved in hands-on warehouse work throughout the day. We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and can work both independently and as part of a team.

WORK SCHEDULE
  • Monday – Friday; Usually from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Schedule varies somewhat depending on client needs
  • Some overtime required based on business needs
  • Stable, full-time hours with consistent scheduling
WORK LOCATION
The primary work location for this position is Wagner Warehousing’s facility at 900 Olive Street in Paducah, KY. Employees may occasionally be required to work at other warehouse locations in Paducah or at the company’s facility in Metropolis, IL based on business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform a combination of forklift operation and hands-on warehouse tasks, including picking, staging, and handling materials
  • Coordinate with office staff and drivers to ensure accurate loading, documentation, and shipment processing
  • Identify and accurately track customer product codes, batch numbers, pallet counts, and weights
  • Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently
  • Pull and prepare orders accurately
  • Scan products and maintain inventory
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and cross-docking operations
  • Support efficient movement of goods through the warehouse and distribution process
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior forklift experience strongly preferred
  • Basic math skills required, including the ability to count, verify quantities, and accurately track product codes, pallet counts, and inventory details
  • Ability to lift and handle materials such as cartons and drums throughout the shift
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in random drug testing
